Refund policy

Our Promise

At Merry Mahjong, every set is packed with care and quality checked before shipping. We want you to be completely happy with your purchase, while keeping our pricing fair and sustainable for all customers. Because our products are delicate and expensive to ship, we’ve designed a policy that ensures confidence for buyers without excessive return costs that raise prices for everyone.

Return Window

You may request a return within 14 days of delivery. To qualify, items must be entirely unused and unplayed (tiles must not show marks, wear, or scratches), in their original packaging with all racks, dice, pouches, and accessories included, free from damage, in resaleable condition, and accompanied by your order number or receipt. Returns requested after 14 days or missing required components are not eligible for refund or credit.

Refunds

Approved returns can be refunded in one of two ways:

  • Refund to Original Payment Method: Subject to a 10% restocking fee. Return shipping cost is paid by the customer. You can use your own label or ours; if you use ours, it is deducted from your refund.
  • Store Credit: No restocking fee. Customer covers return shipping. Credit is issued for the full product value, usable anytime on our store.

Refunds and credits are processed within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect your return.

Exchanges

To avoid double shipping costs and long delays, we do not offer direct exchanges. If you’d like to swap for another set or color, simply request a return for store credit or refund, then place a new order for the desired product. This ensures you get your replacement faster and keeps shipping waste and costs down.

Non-Returnable Items

To maintain quality and hygiene standards, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on opened or used Mahjong sets; discounted, clearance, or final sale items; gift cards; digital downloads; or custom and special-edition products.

Damaged or Incorrect Items: If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 3 days of delivery with photos and your order number. We’ll promptly replace or refund it at no cost to you.

Shipping Costs & Sustainability

Return shipping is paid by the customer (either directly or deducted from your refund) and original shipping costs are non-refundable. We do not cover shipping for exchanges or replacements due to customer preference such as color, size, or style changes.

Sustainability Commitment: We’re committed to minimizing waste. In some cases, for small or non-resaleable items, we may issue a “keep-it” refund or store credit to reduce unnecessary return shipping emissions.
